About Flame Guard
Available in a handy 1L spray bottle, Flame-Guard is chemically neutral and odourless if allowed to dry naturally and will not cause shrinkage, nor affect the properties or appearance of the fabric in any way.
The effectiveness of Flame-Guard is not affected by dry cleaning, natural wear or exposure to sunlight. However, if the fabric is wetted in any way it must be re-treated.
Suitability
Flame-Guard is NOT suitable for leather/PVC coverings, stain-resistant fabrics, or fabrics that require regular washing. It will also not be ideal for use on man-made fabrics that repel water, as for Flame-Guard to be effective it must be well-absorbed into the material.
Application
1 litre of Flame-Guard will treat approximately 6 square metres of fabric. Fabrics treated with Flame-Guard have been tested and approved to the latest BS 5867-2: Type: 2008 specification for curtains and drapes.
Once treated and dried if the fabric is wetted in any way it is essential to re-treat the material to meet flammability requirements.
Note: Always test spray a sample of the fabric first before treating.
How much is shipping?
Shipping costs vary depending on your location and will be clearly shown at checkout. You can also view shipping estimates in your shopping cart. Standard shipping applies to Mainland UK.
When will my order arrive?
Once your order is ready, it will be shipped to your specified address. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm, and require a signature upon receipt. Please note: We cannot deliver to P.O. Box addresses.
When do I own the goods?
Ownership transfers to you once the courier has collected the order and we have received full payment, including delivery charges.
Are there any potential delays?
Yes, please allow extra time during holiday periods. Since fabrics are ordered specifically for each customer, delays may occur if your chosen fabric is out of stock or unavailable with the manufacturer. Ordering early helps avoid this. If your fabric is discontinued or unavailable, we’ll contact you promptly.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we can offer shipping internationally. Be aware that import taxes or duties may apply and are the responsibility of the customer. International shipping fees will need to be estimated on a order-by-order basis and non-refundable. Please contact us directly.
Returns
Any error made by Surrey Lifestyle will be covered under warranty or customer services. All returns that are not due to an error on our part will have to be agreed with Surrey Lifestyle beforehand, you will have 5 working days to return the item or order back to us. Please note that there may be a 15% restocking fee of the purchase price of each return. All postage and/or insurance prepaid by you.
